Resetting Forgotten Passphrase

Cloud administrators can reset their passphrase themselves using "Forgot Passphrase" link on the login page.

Note
Forgot Passphrase feature is not available in CLI and End User Quarantine.

Procedure

Step 1

On the login page (of either the Legacy Web Interface or New Web Interface), click Forgot Passphrase.

Note

If you click Forgot Passphrase link on the New Web Interface login page, it redirects you to the Legacy Web Interface page to reset the passphrase.

Step 2

Enter your username in the Username field.

Step 3

Enter your registered email address in the Email Address field.

Step 4

Click Submit.

Step 5

Click Back to Login Page.

Note

  • After you receive the temporary passphrase, use the Legacy Web Interface login page (not the New Web Interface login page) to reset the passphrase.

  • The temporary passphrase expires in one hour.

  • Cloud administrators can make a maximum of one temporary passphrase request per minute.

  • If you have made multiple passphrase requests, use the most recent passphrase received in your email.

  • As a security measure, all cloud administrators receive notifications when you exceed the limit of failed passphrase reset attempts and also after a successful passphrase reset.

Step 6

On the Legacy Web Interface login page, enter your username in the Username field.

Step 7

Enter the temporary passphrase in the Passphrase field.

Step 8

Click Login.

After you log in with the temporary passphrase, you are redirected to the Change Passphrase page.
